Thanksgiving Question?

Here is my question to all of you: "With Thanksgiving just around the corner, (this year has gone by so fast) what is your favorite thing about the holiday? Is it the food? The overall atmosphere of warmth and family? The football game on TV? The crazy shopping spree the day after? Or a combination of them all?"

When I think of Thanksgiving of course I think of the food but it's not what I am looking forward to the most. What makes me look forward to that day is the thought of spending time with our family and friends, the warmth and coziness of a house flowing with people and the wonderful aroma's of the Thanksgiving Feast surrounding us, even the sounds of the game on tv, just makes me feel comforted. I love this time of year! I also look forward to the crazy day of shopping afterwards!

I love the warm feeling of being with family. The foods nice, too!

I love Thanksgiving because all you have to do is show up and eat. There's no presents to buy, wrap, open, hope they like. The family just wants to be together; nothing else matters (except whether or not there is apple pie on the menu).

I love the gathering of family and friends. The food is a great attribute though. Having things you normally don't eat but only at Thanksgiving.

Family, Food, Football and Duck hunting the Day of, Day after and Day after that! Kari says to drop the football and hunting and add shopping for her.

I love being with family - for some reason, slaving in the kitchen all day is a lot more fun when I can visit with my mom, my grandma, my sister, and my aunts.

I am wondering how Truly gets to just show up and eat, though! Lucky girl!

Oh- I cook. But I love being in the kitchen so it's not work to me. And I eat the whole time I'm making, baking, stirring, boiling...you get the idea. So, really, yes, all I do is show up and eat (and eat and eat and eat some more).
